GIGABRAIN FIELD MANUAL

Change Detection Test

Change Detection briefly shows a visual grid, hides it, then returns with a possible change. Hold the layout in mind and identify what moved or changed.

How to play

Objective: Detect the changed cell accurately while keeping response time low.

  1. Study the first grid during the viewing period.
  2. Keep its structure in mind through the brief interruption.
  3. Select the changed location when the grid returns.

How scoring works

The benchmark combines correct detections with response speed. Accuracy has the strongest effect, so rapid guessing is not rewarded.

GIGABRAIN is an entertainment game and personal arcade benchmark, not an IQ, medical, or diagnostic test.

Tips for a cleaner run

  • Group nearby cells into simple visual chunks.
  • Notice unusual corners and edges before the grid disappears.
  • Compare regions systematically instead of scanning randomly.

Change Detection Test questions

Why use a blank interval between grids?

The interruption prevents a simple motion signal and makes you compare the second grid with a short visual memory.

Does display brightness matter?

Strong glare or low contrast can make small changes harder to see. Use a comfortable display setting.
