GIGABRAIN FIELD MANUAL

Reaction Time Test

Measure how quickly you respond to a visual signal across a short, repeatable set of trials. The challenge is simple: wait for the screen to change, then react without jumping early.

How to play

Objective: Build the lowest reliable average reaction time without false starts.

  1. Start a benchmark and keep your pointer or thumb ready.
  2. Wait for the visual signal. Tapping early counts as a false start.
  3. React as soon as the signal appears and complete every trial.

How scoring works

Your GigaScore is based on the average response time for the benchmark. Faster consistent reactions score higher; one lucky tap cannot carry the whole run.

GIGABRAIN is an entertainment game and personal arcade benchmark, not an IQ, medical, or diagnostic test.

Tips for a cleaner run

  • Use the same hand and device when comparing runs.
  • Look at the center of the screen instead of the button edge.
  • Relax your hand between trials so you do not anticipate the signal.

Reaction Time Test questions

What is a good reaction time?

Device latency, display refresh rate, input method, fatigue, and practice all affect the result. Use your own previous runs as the fairest comparison.

Does this measure intelligence?

No. It is an arcade reaction benchmark for entertainment and self-comparison, not an IQ or medical test.
