GIGABRAIN FIELD MANUAL
Task Switching Test
Task Switching changes the sorting rule while you play. A response that was correct one moment may be wrong after the rule flips, so attention must move with the instruction.
How to play
Objective: Apply the current rule accurately and adapt quickly whenever it changes.
- Read the active rule before responding.
- Classify the prompt using that rule.
- Watch for the switch cue and immediately use the new rule.
How scoring works
GigaScore combines accuracy and response speed across the fixed benchmark. The result also shows the extra time associated with rule switches.
GIGABRAIN is an entertainment game and personal arcade benchmark, not an IQ, medical, or diagnostic test.
Tips for a cleaner run
- Say the active rule silently before choosing.
- After a switch, value the first correct response over raw speed.
- Keep your eyes on the rule indicator between prompts.
Task Switching Test questions
What is switch cost?
It is the difference between your typical response time after a rule change and your response time when the rule stays the same.
Can I memorize the sequence of rules?
No useful fixed sequence is required; the task is designed around reading and applying the current cue.
